Gateway To India is located on the Dherynia to Sotera road just near the stadium and offers the very best in authentic Indian cuisine mixing North & South India cooking styles which is sure to delight your taste buds.

It offers a great atmosphere where all the family can enjoy a superb fusion of aromatic and colourful dishes to suit every taste from the house specialities which are centred around the art of Tandoor along with an extensive range of tasty curries such as Madras or Korma served with traditional Nan Breads and a choice of fragrant rice, all lovingly prepared by the 2 resident Indian Chefs.

There are some fantastic starters available too with vegetarian options such as Spicy Vegetable Wraps and the much loved Onion Bhajee and for non Vegetarians why not tuck into Spiced Duck Samosas, Goan King Prawn Baza or Mamos which is an Indian Dim-Sun.

It’s on to the main course then and for Vegetarians there are 13 dishes to choose from ranging from mild to hot such as Moglai Paneer Kofta, a tasty Dal Makhani or a fiery Aloo Anda Curry. For the meat eaters you’re in for a treat as the extensive menu offers all your favourites including Lamb, Chicken & Fish dishes, all made fresh to order and available in a range of strengths and varieties and of course the house speciality which is Tandoori. There’s also a full compliment of side orders and breads along with rices to choose from and you can round your meal off with a choice of Indian desserts. There’s a great kids menu too so all the family can enjoy the experience.

A great thing about The Gateway To India is the flexibility though. There is a great place outside to enjoy alfresco dining for those wonderful warm evenings and a cosy Indian themed atmosphere inside with a log fire to keep you toasty warm in winter.

There is a great bar area too serving Carlsberg on tap and a range of bottled beers to help you cool down, along with some great wines & spirits and, if it’s a drink you fancy and a chance to try some dishes that maybe you haven’t tried before they offer a great Tasting Menu bar option where you can try out a selection of Indian delights tapas style while you enjoy your drink which is included in the €14.95 per person cost and is a meal in itself.

Sundays is a great opportunity to come down and enjoy their All You Can Eat Buffet served from 11.30 am until 4.00 pm and its a great chance to meet with friends and family and enjoy a change from a roast dinner and, of course the kids are welcome too. Watch out also for Indian themed entertainment coming later in the season on selected nights.

The Restaurant is also available for Birthdays, Parties and Catered Celebrations of all kinds and there is also a take way service when you just want to enjoy fresh Indian food in your own home.
